I’m Kate, the cook behind The Intuitive Chef.
Food has always been about more than feeding people for me. It’s about care, connection and creating moments that feel grounding and joyful. My work is rooted in seasonality, simplicity and an intuitive way of cooking — responding to what’s available, what feels right and most importantly, who I’m cooking for.
I cater for weddings, celebrations and food events, creating thoughtful, relaxed experiences centred around generous food and shared tables.
My approach
I don’t work from fixed menus or rigid packages. Every event begins with a conversation — about the season, the setting and the atmosphere you want to create.
My focus is always on food that uplifts, comforts, surprises, and that’s good to share. I prioritise ethical and sustainable produce and practices, sourcing ingredients carefully and as locally as possible.
